please vote ABSENTEE. 

The BLUFFTON ABSENTEE VOTING Location is opening (no later than two weeks before June 10, 2014) at 61B Ulmer Road.  

WE WILL UPDATE YOU WHEN YOU KNOW THAT THE VOTING MACHINES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. 

Hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM – Monday through Friday.  The last day to vote is Monday, June 9, 2014.  Please check 255-6900.   Take 278 or the Bluffton Parkway to Burnt Church and turn right.  Take Burnt Church to Ulmer Road and turn Left. Take Ulmer to the Elections and Registration – Bluffton Location; 61 Ulmer Road. Call 255-6900 for more information. 

You can also vote in person at the Board of Elections in Beaufort (255-6900 – new phone number).  The Beaufort County Board of Elections is located at 15 John Galt Rd; Beaufort, SC 29901-1228.  Take 170 towards Beaufort, turn left at the light following the Lowe’s and look for the signs for the Beaufort County Board of Elections and Voter Registration.  The hours are 9:00 AM to 4 PM – Monday through Friday and the last day to vote is June 9, 2014.  Please call 255-6900 for times or  if you have questions or for clarification of directions.

Going to the Bluffton or Beaufort office is the preferred way to vote absentee – especially in light of mail delivery problems.

ABESENTEE VOTING BY MAIL

By Mail

Step 1: Request an absentee application. You can request the application by calling 255-6900, emailing (voter@bcgov.net), mailing, or faxing the Beaufort County Voter Registration office. (843) 255-9429 or (843) 524-0617

Step 2: You will be mailed an application.

Step 3: Return the completed application to your county voter registration office by 5:00 p.m. on the 4th day prior to the election (the 4th day is Tuesday for all Saturday elections). You may return the application in person or by mail, email, or fax.

Step 4: You will be mailed an absentee ballot.

Step 5: Vote the ballot following ballot instructions and return it to your county voter registration office by 7:00 p.m. on the day of the election. You may return the ballot personally or by mail. You may also have another person return the ballot for you, but you must first complete an authorization to return absentee ballot form, available from your county voter registration office.

Jasper County voters can obtain absentee ballots from the Jasper County Board of Elections.  Please call 843-726-7709 to request an absentee ballot.  Voters can also cast an absentee ballot at the Jasper County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, 1506 Grays Highway; Ridgeland.    Please call 843-726-7709 to find out whether voting machines have been and for hours.
